We’re thrilled to announce the release of RafflePress 1.12, which offers exciting features and improvements to take your giveaways to the next level.

This release introduces three innovative giveaway actions centered on gathering customer reviews, a seamless integration with Uncanny Automator, and a revamped comment action feature.

For a quick rundown, watch the video below.

Or, continue reading to learn how this update can transform your next giveaway into a powerhouse of social proof.

Why Customer Reviews Are Crucial

Online reviews are pivotal in shaping your business reputation. Trusted platforms like G2, Capterra, and Trustpilot not only provide invaluable feedback but also serve as potent social proof.

Recent statistics reveal that 82% of consumers read online reviews before making a purchase, and 49% regard them as trustworthy as personal recommendations.

Given these numbers, it’s clear that online reviews are crucial for businesses wanting to build a positive brand image and attract new customers. That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce the following new giveaway actions.

3 New Ways to Amplify Social Proof with RafflePress

We’re rolling out three actions that allow you to request reviews on G2, Capterra, or Trustpilot in exchange for giveaway entries. These actions help you gather invaluable feedback and incentivize user engagement with your brand.

Here’s how to use them.

How Do They Work?

Navigate to the Actions tab under the Social Engagement section in the RafflePress plugin to find the new actions for G2, Capterra, and Trustpilot.

Once added to your giveaway widget, you can customize them from the left-hand sidebar.

Here, you can modify the action title and assign its value in terms of giveaway entries. Additionally, you can make the action mandatory and specify your review site URL.

The Capterra and Trustpilot actions have similar customization options, so configuring them follows the same process.

User Experience

Our user-friendly giveaway interface makes participation a breeze. Users simply paste the URL of their review into a text field, which then automatically validates it to ensure only genuine reviews are counted.

The Benefits to You

Including review tasks in your giveaway campaigns can boost customer engagement by up to 45%. It’s also an effective way to enhance your brand’s image and trustworthiness.

Wondering how to make the most of these actions? Here are some ideas to inspire you:

  • eCommerce: Use review actions to collect initial feedback for new products.
  • SaaS: Send thank-you emails with discounts to reviewers.
  • Content Creators: Collaborate with other creators to mutually boost social proof by having users review both of you.
  • Local Business: Improve your local search rankings by encouraging local reviews.

See our guide to learn how to get Trustpilot reviews using RafflePress.

Automate Your Giveaways with Uncanny Automator

We’re also excited to announce our integration with Uncanny Automator, a top-tier WordPress automation plugin. This integration allows RafflePress to “talk to” other tools and create powerful workflows in minutes.

To find the integration, edit any giveaway and navigate to the Settings tab. Then click the new Automation heading in the sidebar.

From there, click the + Install Uncanny Automator button to install the plugin automatically.

Uncanny Automator lets you quickly and easily automate user engagement on your giveaway. For instance, you can create a trigger with RafflePress that runs every time someone registers for your giveaway or submits an entry.

When RafflePress detects the trigger, it can run hundreds of different actions on participants, including:

  • Sending them a follow-up email
  • Sending admins an instant email notification
  • Exporting their info to a Google Sheet
  • Generating and emailing a coupon code
  • Posting to Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter

  • Notifying your sales team in Slack
  • Registering the user for a Zoom webinar
  • Creating an account for them on your WordPress site
  • Adding their contact info to your CRM
  • And much more.

Get More from Your Comments

Blog comments are another form of social proof that boosts your site’s engagement and SEO. They can improve search engine rankings by creating fresh and relevant user-generated content.

With this in mind, we’ve updated the Leave a Comment Action to make it even more powerful.

You can now use the Daily Entries toggle option to add multiple blog post URLs for users to comment on.

RafflePress will cycle through your chosen blog posts and display a different link in the widget each day.

This means you can collect comments on multiple blog posts instead of just one, helping you to gain more user-generated content and higher search engine rankings.

How to Get Started with RafflePress 1.12

Existing RafflePress users with a premium license can access these new features by updating to version 1.12 from their WordPress dashboard.

If you’re not using RafflePress yet, now is the perfect time to get started and grow your business with viral giveaway contests.

There are still many more improvements planned for RafflePress, and we’d love to know what issues, questions, or feature requests you have. We’re always paying close attention to what you need most, so don’t be afraid to contact our support team with your feedback.

As always, thank you for your support in helping to make RafflePress one of the best WordPress giveaway plugins.
