At RafflePress, we take our user’s feedback seriously. And one thing you’ve asked for the most is more flexibility for how users enter your Facebook giveaways.

So today, we’re excited to announce that users can now enter your giveaways by liking and sharing on Facebook.

Let’s dive in and look at all the details.

Facebook Like and Share Giveaways

We’ve added 2 new giveaway entry actions for all RafflePress paid plans, which are as follows:

  1. Like our Page: Ask users to like your Facebook page to enter your giveaway
  2. Share on Facebook: Ask users to share your giveaway on Facebook to enter
Facebook like and share giveaway entry actions

Both of these options are an effective way to promote your Facebook page, raise awareness for your online contest, and engage your Facebook audience.

But there are a few things to keep in mind…

Facebook doesn’t allow you to require likes, sharing, tagging, etc., in exchange for giveaway entries. And if you do, you run the risk of Facebook sanctions.

That said, we had so many users requesting these features that we added them anyway with a warning to use them at your own risk.

Use Facebook like and share giveaway actions at your own risk

So the decision to use our Facebook Like and Share giveaway actions is entirely in your hands.

You can read more about rules in our Facebook actions documentation.

That’s all for today!

As always, thank you for your continued support in making RafflePress the best WordPress giveaway plugin on the market. We’re excited to keep bringing you these awesome updates and continue working on some fun things for you just around the corner.

  1. This entrie already exist in rafflepress, is the same that shows to Follow on facebook. it’s just the same entrie duplicated! Please hope that you guys add more important and unique features than just a button to like or follow a social network! Rafflepress can’t even check if the user is really following the page before give the entrie points to user!

    1. Hey there,

These two actions have been the most requested from RafflePress customers. Previously the only way to like a Facebook page was to visit the actual page. This option allows users to like the page from within the widget. Regarding sharing on Facebook, before this update, the only way to share was with the refer a friend action.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

  2. Hi Stacey,

Thanks for the informations, but there’s no way to check if user really like the page? Like you guys do in twitter follow? Rafflepress check if the account is following! I ask this because RafflePress already have facebook login, then, maybe is possible to already check if user really like the page!

And you mention that it was one of the most requested features by RafflePress customers, there’s any page that shows roadmap or a online form to fill up with some suggestions?

    Thanks!

    1. Hi Cardistry,

Currently, there isn’t an option to verify a user actually liked your page. That said, you are very welcome to send your suggestions for new RafflePress features via our contact form here: https://rafflepress.com/contact/

Let me know if you have any other questions,

      Best regards.

  3. Hello, I personally like the new actions added. Thanks a lot I was waiting for this. My little frustration is the registration for the side and the registration for the campaign. Is there a way you can make this to be one login and registration with WordPress? I mean when users has already registered on my website and are logged in, it’s not nice to ask them to register again after clicking the campaign on the menu of the website they are logged in.

    1. Hey there,

We’re glad you’re happy with our new Facebook like action. At the moment there isn’t a way to make everything one login and registration. But we’ll pass your suggestions onto our development team for future updates.

  4. Hi !, I have issues getting the facebook social login on my raffle, the icon appear, client click on login and appears logged in but when trying to complete actions it says “you need to log in above”, anyone can help please?, Thanks
